Two-level (Standard and Advanced) subjects
The NCF 2023 plan to offer Maths and Science at two levels from Class 9.
Under the National Curriculum Framework 2023, CBSE is introducing Standard and Advanced levels in Mathematics and Science from Class 9, extending the Basic/Standard idea. Discussions about extending two levels to Classes 11 and 12 are ongoing.
For Class 11 subject choice this means checking the circular for the year you enter Class 11: a level you choose in Class 9 may affect which Class 11 subjects are open.
