Humanities with Maths: the under-rated combination
Political Science, Economics and Mathematics is one of the strongest combinations for law, economics and policy.
Why it works
Economics Honours, the most sought-after humanities degree, needs Mathematics or Applied Mathematics. CLAT has a quantitative section. Civil services preliminary exams test aptitude. Mathematics inside a humanities combination keeps all of these strong.
Example combinations
English, Political Science, Economics, Mathematics, History. English, Psychology, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science. English, Legal Studies, Political Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics.
Availability
Many schools do not put Mathematics in their humanities block. Ask early; some open it when enough students request it.
