Commerce without Maths: what stays open
Most of Commerce stays open. Economics Honours and some BBA programmes do not.
What stays open
CA, CS and CMA accept any stream. B.Com, most BBA programmes, hotel management, law through CLAT, mass communication and design are open. Many universities accept Commerce without Maths for B.Com (Hons).
What closes
Economics Honours at most universities needs Mathematics or Applied Mathematics. BMS and BBA (Financial Investment Analysis) at Delhi University need Maths. Data and actuarial programmes need it.
The easy fix
Applied Mathematics (241) is designed for exactly this case. It is accepted for most of the programmes that ask for maths in Commerce, and Basic Maths students can take it.
