Applied Mathematics (241)
A maths course for commerce and humanities with statistics, finance and data, not calculus for engineering.
Applied Mathematics was introduced so students who do not need engineering-style maths still keep quantitative skills. It covers numbers and quantification, algebra, probability, statistics, financial mathematics and basic calculus for business.
It is accepted for many B.Com, BBA, Economics and data programmes, but not for engineering (JEE) or most B.Sc Mathematics courses. Students with Basic Maths in Class 10 can take it.
