Study planning for Class 11: the first 90 days
Class 11 is a jump. The first term decides whether you keep up.
The jump
Every subject roughly doubles in depth from Class 10. Students who coast on Class 10 habits fall behind by October and spend Class 12 catching up. The fix is a weekly routine from week one.
A routine that works
Fix a weekly timetable: each subject gets the hours its workload needs (the weekly study planner on this site weights by workload). Revise within 24 hours of each class. Keep one evening a week free. Sleep.
The first exam
Treat the first unit test as a diagnostic. A subject where you are far behind after 90 days is the one to reconsider while a change is still possible.
Entrance preparation
If you are preparing for JEE, NEET or CLAT, start in Class 11 at a sustainable pace rather than a sprint. Board marks still matter for eligibility and for CUET.
Guidance based on the CBSE scheme of studies and public exam bulletins. Confirm rules with your school and the official sources before deciding.
