Normalisation
A statistical adjustment so scores from different exam sessions can be compared fairly.
When an exam runs in many shifts, one shift may be harder than another. Normalisation converts raw scores to percentiles or scaled scores so candidates are ranked fairly. CUET and JEE Main both use it.
