Internal assessment
The marks awarded by the school for practicals, projects and periodic tests.
Most Class 12 subjects have a theory paper of 70 or 80 marks plus internal assessment of 20 or 30 marks for practicals, projects or internal tests. Subjects with practicals (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Psychology, Geography and others) need a lab and a practical exam.
