Calculating your percentage from your five best subjects, usually including the language.
Many universities and employers compute a Class 12 percentage from the best five subjects, often requiring one language among them. CBSE itself prints marks per subject and leaves the aggregate to the institution.
If you take six subjects, the sixth can be dropped from the best five if it is lower, which is the only sense in which a sixth subject can help your percentage.
