The Design Aptitude Test of the National Institute of Design for its Bachelor of Design programme.

Class 12 subjects

Any stream.

Eligibility

Class 12 in any stream, passed or appearing. Age limit of 20 for the general category on the cut-off date (relaxations apply).

Pattern

DAT Prelims (a written test of drawing, visualisation and reasoning) followed by DAT Mains (studio tests and an interview) for shortlisted candidates.

What this means for Class 11

  1. The age limit is tight, so this is a route to decide on early.
  2. Your Class 11 choice does not restrict you, but Fine Arts and Design (830) build the portfolio and thinking the Mains look for.
