NATA
The aptitude test for Bachelor of Architecture admissions, accepted by most architecture colleges apart from NITs and IITs.
Class 12 subjects
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12 (or a 10+3 diploma with Mathematics).
Eligibility
Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and at least 50% aggregate in those three subjects and 50% overall (relaxations for reserved categories). Candidates appearing for Class 12 can take the test.
Pattern
Three-hour test with a drawing and composition section plus multiple-choice questions on visual reasoning, logic, mathematics and general awareness of architecture.
What this means for Class 11
- NITs and some IITs admit through JEE Main Paper 2A instead of NATA; many students take both.
- Engineering Graphics (046) and Fine Arts subjects in Class 11 build the drawing and visualisation skills the test rewards.
