The common entrance for central universities such as Delhi University, BHU, JNU, AMU and Jamia, and many state, deemed and private universities.

Class 12 subjects

Depends on the course. Each university maps a programme to CUET domain subjects, and most expect you to have studied the matching subject in Class 12.

Eligibility

Pass Class 12 from a recognised board. Each university applies its own programme-wise eligibility (for example, Mathematics in Class 12 for B.Sc Mathematics or Economics Honours at many universities).

Pattern

Computer-based, section-wise: Section I languages, Section II domain subjects (choose from a list of about 23), Section III General Test. Candidates pick a limited number of subjects in total. Scores are normalised across shifts.

What this means for Class 11

  1. Keep at least four academic subjects in Class 12 that map to CUET domain tests; most skill subjects have no domain test.
  2. Check the programme page of the university you want: DU, BHU and JNU each publish their own subject mapping.
  3. Use the CUET mapper tool on this site to see which domain tests your combination supports.
